Heavenly Chocolate Chip Waffles

Happy Thursday!

I feel as though Sundays are made for fancy breakfasts, and for the most part, spending the day in your pj’s. I feel waffles are the perfect start to that kid of day, especially those with chocolate chips.

2 cups of all purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon of salt

1 1/2 tablespoon of sugar

1 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda

1 cup of chocolate chips

2 cups of milk

2 tablespoons of white vinegar or lemon juice

2 eggs

1/2 stick of butter, melted

1 teaspoon of vanilla

In a large bowl, mix milk and white vinegar or lemon juice (I used lemon juice, mostly because I’m not a fan of vinegar in my baked goods) and let stand for 10 minutes

In a separate bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, baking soda, and chocolate chips

Heat up your waffle iron

Once your 10 minutes are up, add the eggs, melted butter, and vanilla to your milk mixture

Slowly combine your dry to wet ingredients, until your batter is smooth

Pour into your waffle iron and cook for about three minutes

After creating this recipe, it might be easier to take the chocolate chips out of the mixture and pop onto of the poured batter in your waffle iron.

For a lighter, less cooked waffle, I would suggest cooking for around 2 to 2 1/2 minutes over 3

What are some of your favorite things to eat on Sundays?
