I don’t think anyone likes the mixture of peanut butter and chocolate more than my mom, which I am totally down for, since it means I can bake cookies all day and they’ll never go bad in this house.
My dad had to go to a certification class and take a test this past Saturday so I thought I would surprise him with some cookies!
1/2 cup of shortening
1/2 cup of peanut butter
1/2 cup of packed brown sugar
1/2 cup of sugar
2 tbsp of milk
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1 3/4 cups of all purpose flour
1 tsp of baking soda
1/2 tsp of salt
mini chocolate kisses
Preheat your oven to 375 F
In a large bowl, cream together shortening, peanut butter, brown and white sugar
Add in your egg
Mix in milk and vanilla extract
In another large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt
Gradually add flour mixture to peanut butter mixture until completely combined
Stir in mini chocolate kisses
Bake on parchment paper lined cookie sheets for 10-12 minutes
Serve hot with milk and enjoy!
